What We Do | Blog | Projects | About | Donate
It is our collaborative purpose to translate human awareness into human action.
Human Translation's mission begins with empowerment. It is our belief that every human has the ability to improve a life if given the proper tools. Our goal is to raise qualified awareness and fundsĀ for people in need, and to help them realize their own potential to create a sustainable future.
We are focused on building the capacity of organizations and individuals trying to make a difference, by helping compassionate people deal with the uncertainties of humanitarian aid, and providing support for exceptional projects.
Human Translation is a 501(c)3 tax-exempt organization.
The nature of this collaborative project includes building for sustainability. Our long-term strategy is to build an organization that is community-driven and local without the long-term necessity of indefinite intervention. Ultimately as a non-profit, we believe that our goal should be to put ourselves out of a job. In 2009 we established a local entity called Community Translation which consists of 100% of our field staff who are responsible for the implementation of our programs. The programs and purpose of Community Translation is exactly the same as Human Translation, but also to provide the long-term foundation for the future. Community Translation is supported by multiple partners, including UNDP, WFP, AusAid along with Human Translation. We are proud to have established this local entity and to have watched it grow into it's own impressive enterprise. Our programs are their programs, and we believe this model of locally-run development initiatives is the future of building long-term solutions to poverty.
